Heyyyy everyone! My name is Christin Elisha Battle, but EVERYONE calls me "Cici". Although I call Miami my home, I was born in Denver Colorado and lived there for my childhood. I permanently moved to Miami with my amazing mother at the age of 12 and have been here ever since. I have been blessed to have a very diverse and loving family, without who's love and support I would not be the person I am today. The biggest chunk of my heart belongs to my mother, she is the fuel behind my fire and has always pushed me to peruse and live my dreams.

If someone would have told me 5 years ago that I would have been doing what I loved the most entertaining people as a profession, I would have never believed them! My mom says that I have been performing my entire life; that I jumped out of the womb singing and dancing! Its true! I first started singing at the age of 5 (you could not tell me that I was not the next Whitney Houston) then I dabbled in acting at elementary school. Then "it" happened..at the beginning of middle school I found my true love.. Dance!! I trained at the ballet conservatory for 8 years and also trained in the Alvin Ailey school every summer. I loved the thrill, the energy everything that came from entertaining and performing!

Although I had a deep passion for dance, life stepped in and I thought that I would not have the time to devout myself once I entered college and began to focus on my physical therapy career.  A chance encounter while working weekends at Temple Soleil changed all of that. February of 2005 I saw Pure Energy at an event, the dancers were having a blast and really enjoyed what they were doing. I questioned them about their job and I said "you guys get paid to dance?"!
I will never forget David's face when I met him for the first time. I had dressed up to impress and naturally had heels on. As I stood up to shake hands looking down at him his face was a picture. Yes I am tall!!!! I just fell in love with the role the dancers undertake straight away. We did so much more than "dance" and I loved how through our energy and passion we could bring so much joy to family's celebrations. I worked as dancer for 3 years when David and Mike talked to me about becoming the 1st female MC at Pure Energy! Which made me fall in love with Pure Energy even more.

I am a vivacious young leader attending Florida International University pursing a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a Certificate in leadership. I have held many leadership positions including Vice President of the student body, President of the F.I.U. Chapter of the NAACP and the 2nd Vice President of the Florida State Conference. Now as Student Body President, it is my goal to enact change in young people to not only improve themselves and to fight for higher education and equality rights, but to reach back into the community and inspire and empower someone else to do the same. I am extremely passionate about women empowerment and equality issues and recently completed my 300 hours of Service with Ameri-Cops Strong Women Strong Girls Mentoring Program and am currently a Young People for the American Way Fellow. With this passion for community service and my drive for more women in Higher Education, fuels my dreams of becoming president of a University.
